Unseen Hands
Immediately, people converged on him, calling him a healer and telling him of wretched cases of insanity in their families. "My brother is mad and bound with chains at myhouse," one said. "Please wait imtil I can bring
him."
The multitude seeking miracles dismayed Tekle; he
began preaching salvation stronger than ever and tell ing the people, "When you believe and obey the gospel, healing power in the name of Jesus will be available to
you. He alone is the healer."
Though no one knew of Tekle's needs, the Lord im
pressed the school principal to take a large offering for him so that he could continue with his evangelistic ministry.
By 1967 over forty thousand young people across Ethiopia had received the baptism of the Holy Ghost. E f forts to organize stirred among them. The next two years saw ten thousand moreaddedto their number. They final ly agreed on a name—Full Gospel Believers—and they
chose seven leaders with co-equal authority. Tekle re mained a key man and a favorite preacher among them but refused to be a part of the system because of his call.
Miracles abounded. In one service a lady came who had suffered for twenty-two years with a peculiar con striction of her internal organs. She could retain only a minute amount of the liquid on which she lived. Though
married for twenty years, the strange adhesions prevented her having a child. When Tekle rebuked the demons in her, they came out screaming that they were eighty thousand strong. Healed and delivered, she had
a baby one year later. Several epileptics and other dis eased folks found deliverance in that same service.
