Tekle's blood did not fall to the ground in vain. A strong church with continuous revival shines there today. Tekle calledfor a week of fasting and prayer at Tekle-
Ab's house. As they sought God together, an angel ap peared visible to all in a glow of brilliant light that filled the house. Some of those present fearfully tried to hide under the furniture. Tekle trembled until the heavenly messenger disappeared without speaking. Three days later, the same angel came as he prayed alone. He noted the gracious expression of his face, but the angel gave no message.
Still fasting, Tekle was praying in a closed room a week afterward when a deafening roar approached him. Fearing he would be crushed, he tried to shrink away. Then the soundchanged to the gentle hum of bees buzz ing, and a voice said, "Go to Awasa! Go to Awasa! Go to Awasa!"
While preparing for the journey to Awasa, Tekle prayed in the same room, and a thunder of sound like a mighty waterfall fell on him and rolled him across the room. He felt it penetrate his body with the smooth feel of oil. The powerful roar returned and covered him, enter ing in gentleness to the very marrow of his bones. When he heard the sound coming the third time, he stretched his arm toward heaven and cried, "It's enough. Lord. It's enough." When he realized this came for a blessing and was not designed to kill him, he regretted curbing the power of God.
That day Tekle used his last six birr for bus fare from Addis to Awasa in Sidamo Province. He did not know
