In her presence he said, "I have heard that you are
crazy and have come to see for myself."
"Oh no," Erkenesh replied, "I am more sane than
ever, and God is leading me. He has given me His great salvation and has brought Tekle into my life so we can work together for Jesus."
"You are certainly crazy," he answered. "Y ou do not even know where he came from. He is a wanderer and a vagabond who owns nothing. God will not tell you to marry someone who will desert you when you are with child. He would not want to commit you to a life of misery."
"It is not the way you think," Erkenesh firmly stated. "I have received the Holy Ghost, and my life has been changed. If you will seek God and receive the glorious gift of His Spirit then you will understand."
He turned away in disgust. Forgetting to use his weapon, he snarled, "What can be done with a crazy woman!"
Later, when Erkenesh saw at her door the teacher who had given her so many problems, fear pulsed in her throat. She remembered his last visit vividly. Then she saw the tears rolling down his cheeks.
"I have greatly wronged you, Erkenesh, though you have done nothing against me," he confessed. "To get my hands on the letters that Tekle wrote to you, I told the clerk at the post office that you are my relative. I destroyed his letters.
"The six young men came with me to abduct you. I'm sure you recall the night, not long ago. God put such ter ror in my heart that I left here shaking like a leaf in the
