Constantine takes yet another Pagan symbol and uses it in his Roman Empire
Above we see another ancient pagan symbol of the double headed eagle. This photo is from the remains of a pagan Hayuk Hittite temple found in modern day Turkey. Like the pagan god Janus the eagle looks both at the past exists in the present and looks to the future. Thus this religious icon is symbolizing an eternal god. Also this god rises in the East and sets in the West therefore we have another symbol for the ancient sun god and his priesthood. The above symbol is some 4000 years old. Below the first image the cylinder scroll from Babylon with the same symbol is thought to be around 5000 years old. The sun god sits upon his throne with a triadic three heads one human and two animal heads his seal or symbol is to the right of the throne. Constantine was the high priest of the sun god and of all paganism. Therefore it is no surprise that he also adopted this pagan symbol along with the Chi Rho for his Empire.
