Contribution to the Science/Profession: Recognized for outstanding contributions to biointerface science, mentoring nearly 100 undergraduate students to amass a significant publication record, and excellence in the integration of undergraduate education and research.
Contribution to the ACS Community: Recognized for dedicated service to the ACS Committee on Professional Training and for promoting excellence in chemistry at the K-12 level, the NY ACS, and in the broader community while passionately developing initiatives that foster diversity.
Adriane G. Ludwick ♦ Tuskegee University, Emeritus
Contribution to the Science/Profession: Recognized for research which evolved to materials science, for working with engineering faculty, and for developing Tuskegee’s first Ph.D. program. Currently an adjunct professor working with 20 engineering undergraduates.
Contribution to the ACS Community: Recognized for evaluating over 400 submissions per year dur- ing a 9-year commitment to Project SEED and for mentoring Project SEED students, including one who later received a BS degree in chemical engineering. This is DEIR personified.

Contribution to the Science/Profession: Recognized for outstanding contributions, sustained excel- lence, and dedication in the study of protein nanostructures and nanomaterials chemistry, and for exceptional contributions to the education of students at all levels.

Contribution to the Science/Profession: Recognized for outstanding contributions to hydrocarbon chemistry, synthetic organic chemistry, and fluorine chemistry by developing efficient catalysts and reagent systems and new synthetic methodologies.
Contribution to the ACS Community: Recognized for outstanding service to the Southern California Local Section of the American Chemical Society, bringing in multiple grants and organizing confer- ences while also demonstrating exemplary leadership in ACS Divisions.
