Judaism especially related to family. She truly has been a wonderful daughter-in- law and friend in times of need.
Leanne was not so fortunate, after her 2nd child Jacob was born, her marriage to Kevin ended. She pursued a career in childcare which came naturally to Leanne; she would have liked to have been a kindergarten teacher. She remained in childcare right through the nineties until a change of vocation in 2006. Leanne met Leon Rosenthal in 1994 and they were married in 1996; unfortunately, that ended in 2000. The nineties were a hard learning curve for Leanne, a difficult time in her life, fortunately compensated with two beautiful children.
My work life took another direction, I met Anthony Etzine who had his office in the same building as the one I occupied. Anthony was South African, an accountant and management consultant. We formed a friendship which resulted in the formation of a partnership under the banner of KE Business Advisory Services. Anthony was interested in business transactions, and I was interested in advancing my work into the bigger businesses, therefore there was plenty we could learn from each other.
Our work activity progressed, and we established ourselves in the marketplace as one of the more credible brokers transacting and valuing businesses. We co- authored a book entitled “Should I, Shouldn’t I” which was well received in the business community. We wrote articles for the Sydney Morning Herald and the Financial Review and conducted workshops for accountants and their clients all of which was a new experience for me.
Anthony was a great partner to work with and learn from. He displayed a lot of tolerance and patience with me in those years, considering the volatility of my personal life which did impact on my work. We also invested in the development of a coffee shop from inception called “Bar Latte” at the entrance to the railway station in the Edgecliff Centre and sold it 5 years later, realising a success on the sale. It still stands today as a going concern. Our partnership ended in 2001, and we remained good friends thereafter.
Another partnership that developed in the nineties was with a friend of mine Peter Pillhofer who was a computer programmer. We bought a small instant Print Business known as the Edgecliff Print & Business Centre also at the entrance to
