This course empowers students with the ability to skillfully sew basic outfits and quickly advance to the next level of sewing with ease. Students will acquire basic sewing techniques that will be with them for a lifetime.

Introduction to Shoe Making (Espardilles)
NEW COURSE
This course introduces the basic concept of espadrille footwear design as well as its history and production process. Students will complete one finished pair of espadrille shoes. If you love fabulous shoes but seldom find shoes to your liking; if you prefer unique, one-of-a- kind footwear; if you love being original and desire to design and construct your own pair of shoes, welcome. Become a fashion designer who creates footwear to compliment your original designs.

Introduction to Alterations
This course introduces custom fit and alteration techniques of various ready-to-wear garments, including shirts, pants, dresses, and jackets. Students will learn how to pin, mark, and alter cloth- ing for proper/desired fit.
Students will alter one garment based on sewing skill level.

Sewing II
Sewing II is designed to challenge and further develop basic sewing skills by advancing to more complicated sewing techniques. Students will apply basic techniques acquired in Sewing I and will be introduced to advanced techniques that will enable them to produce fashionable garments.

This course introduces students to various ways of taking worn- out, damaged, outdated clothing and transforming them into fashion-forward, unique pieces. Students will explore
