• Almost two-thirds (62%) of companies have a 'well thought-out plan, a long-term concept and manage- ment support for the future of [their] customers'.
• Content and experience management is the area with the highest strategic priority for organisations in 2018. For almost half (45 %) of the companies surveyed, this is one of the top three most important areas in the coming year, and for one-fifth (20%) even the main focus.
'We are at the beginning of a "renaissance of design and creativity"'. Highly successful companies recognise how important these attributes are as a complement to data quality and cutting-edge technology.
• According to the survey, nearly three-quarters (73%) of respondents say that their companies 'invest in design' to differentiate their brand from their competitors.
• Organisations that describe themselves as 'design- oriented' were 69 % more likely than their competitors were to significantly exceed their business goals in 2017 (22% versus 13%). Moreover, organisations in which creativity is a high priority were also 46 % more likely to significantly exceed their business targets in 2017 (19 % compared to 13 %).
• Organisationswith'sophisticateduserjourneysthatfa- cilitate clear communication and smooth transactions' were 57% more likely to exceed their 2017 business goals (22 % versus 14 %).
