Photographer and documentary filmmaker Stacii Samidin
Born (1987) and raised in the city district of Rotterdam-East, Stacii Samidin shared his life with many others with Indonesian roots; people with a strong sense of solidarity with one ano- ther. Stacii Samidin says: ‘I have grown together with the city’. He compares his personal development to the growth of Rotterdam into a metropolis. As a youngster, the city neighbourhood was his stomping ground. Now he has en- tered a worldwide arena as a human being and a documentary photograp- her and filmmaker.
