 ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
MONEY. . RESPECT.
      BCAC ALERT: LATOYA WILLIAMS
On November 26th, the Economic Development Committee hosted its 7th Annual Shop Small Business Saturday event. The event carried out one of our Five-Point Programmatic Thrust goals: to continuously educate and prepare our community for generational wealth. Over 30 small business owners from our local community set up at Carter Park for our sorors and the public to shop for holiday gifts. Our youngest vendor was a young girl who sold the books she wrote at the age of six! In addition, we partnered with American Express to become a Neighborhood Champion that supports local small-owned and black-owned businesses. Over 100 attendees supported this event, including sorors, community members, and local business owners.
