I am currently on the 2nd year of a four-year C&I apprenticeship with Dragon LNG.
My apprenticeship is in Control and Instrumentation which measures and controls a process by using variables such as temperature, flow, pressure and level.
Fault finding, calibration of equipment and working with analysers are some of the practical skills that I have learnt whilst being on site. With a day release to study
at Pembrokeshire College I can learn the theory to further understand instrumentation.
The apprenticeship is a brilliant way to learn whilst gaining experience in the industry. I am excited to see what experiences and challenges the next two years of the apprenticeship brings.

After finishing university and moving back to Pembrokeshire, I made the decision to completely change my Career path and apply for the Valero apprenticeship.
I am now in my second year, training to become a process operator.
This has been a fantastic opportunity, which has allowed me to earn to support my family whilst simultaneously gaining the qualifications and practical experience needed to build my career in the petrochemical industry.
