shops brimming with fashion, gifts, local foods, art, books and antiques. Or perhaps visit the busy open air markets running almost daily in the square infront of the castle, rich with local produce, gifts, a friendly vibe and interesting characters.
The useful park-and-ride system ensures that, when the small central carparks and on-street parking are full, there’s still convenient access to the town centre.
With its reputation for promoting artisan food and drink producers, it’s no surprise that Ludlow houses several quality restaurants that are currently listed in the Michelin Guide. With a fabulous range of cafes, pubs and restaurants showcasing cuisine from around the world Ludlow is leading a foodie revolution.
Located in a very picturesque part of South Shropshire, Ludlow is surrounded by gorgeous countryside and rolling hills which are perfect for walking or hiking. It is the starting point of the Mortimer Trail; a 30 mile spectacularly scenic route between Ludlow and Kington in Herefordshire, which is popular with both walkers and cyclists.
You’ll love dipping in and out of the Herefordshire, Marches and Shropshire borders from this beautiful town.
