BRECON
Brecon is a bustling market town right at the top edge
of the glorious Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons)
National Park. It's known for its independent shops and
cafés, history and magnificent cathedral.
LLANDRINDOD WELLS
‘Llandrindod Wellness’ - a great place for a healthy
break. Whether it's for a relaxing weekend or for a more
active holiday, walking, cycling or in the countryside.
RHAYADER
Discover Rhayader, the Outdoors Capital of Wales. First
town on the River Wye, Rhayader is home to the spectacular
dams and reservoirs of the Elan and Claerwen Valleys.
NEWTOWN
The largest town in Powys. Newtown lies on the upper
reaches of the River Severn, with hills in every direction.
The town centre is a conservation area because of the
rich variety of historic buildings and home to the
Newtown Textile Museum.
WELSHPOOL
An ancient market town, only 4 miles from the Shropshire
border. Welshpool is the gateway to Mid Wales and the
Cambrian Coast. Home to the Derwen Garden Centre
and Welshpool and Llanfair Narrow Gauge Railway.
