Penderyn Distillery Visitor Centre p59 is a must visit for
anyone who loves their gin or whisky - the hour long tour
ends with a tasting of the award winning products which
are exported all over the world.
Follow the A406 to find Craig y Nos Country Park (free
to enter but paid parking). Wander around 40 acres which
were the historic grounds of Craig y Nos Castle, once
owned by Victorian opera diva Adelina Patti. You can walk
into the surrounding hills from here. Steep climbs and a
couple of hours walking will lead you to the site of a
crashed WW2 bomber.
Discover a hidden world at National Showcaves Centre
p48-49 - explore the twisting passageways and great
caverns. Come face to face with over 200 life-sized
dinosaur models, and visit the gentle giants at the Shire
Horse Centre. One ticket, ten attractions!
