BRONLLYS: THE NEXT TEN YEARS (2020-2030)
In 2019 a Memorandum of Understanding5 (MoU) was signed between BWBP, PCC and PTHB. This MoU sets out the terms of the agreement for the future of the Bronllys Community Hospital, including the following key components:
To continuously work together and with other stakeholders to develop and deliver a clear vision for the future of the Bronllys Community Hospital site
To work together with residents of Powys and key stakeholders to identify the best ways to deliver the Health & Care Strategy for Powys at the Bronllys Community Hospital site
To work together to determine and secure long-term stewardship of assets for community benefit
A draft Terms of Reference (TOR) for proposed well-being projects on the site was submitted to PTHB and is awaiting approval.
BWBP have published a number of Feasibility Studies including “Food Growing
678 (2018) , “Leisure, Fitness & Cultural Activities” (2019) and “Housing” (2020) , all
based on responding to opportunities and needs with the facilities and unique features proposed for the Bronllys Community Hospital site. Transportation, Energy and Sustainability Studies are in preparation.

The BWBP CLT Limited Board is comprised of those with extensive experience and track record in the private, public and third sectors.

Cllr Karen Laurie-Parry – Powys County Council, Board member, Bronllys
Community Council and Erwood Community Council
Jed Needs – Director, Green Valleys CIC, background in green engineering
and energy
