We would like to welcome today’s
visitors Mountain Ash to Emlyn Park.
Good afternoon everyone and a warm welcome to everyone who has made the
trip over from Mountain Ash, a team from which our very own U16’s coach and
ex-player Martyn Savage hails.
It's been a few years since we last played each other and from memory, on that occasion
Mountain Ash came out on top, I hope that won't be the case today!
Our boys have put in some great performances over the last couple of weeks, culminating
in a fantastic performance last week against Glamorgan Wanderers when we managed to
pick up 4 league points, I hope we can achieve the same again this afternoon.
Today, our club president and main sponsor Mr Karl Goode has put on an event
where all our sponsors large or small have been invited to firstly enjoy the game, and
secondly, enjoy some after match refreshments. We are very grateful for all that our
sponsors do for us here at Talywain, you all help us lay the solid foundations that allow
the team be successful and the best they can. Thank you all so much.
Thank you to all our volunteers and supporters for your continued support as well,
and I look forward to seeing you all in the clubhouse later, enjoying refreshments, served
by our stewardess Louise and her team.
Please ensure that you all respect the referee and stay behind the barriers.
Best wishes,
Jeff Clutterbuck
Chairman
