We would like to welcome today’s
visitors Beddau to Emlyn Park.
Good afternoon everyone and welcome to Emlyn Park.
Firstly, I would like to wish you all a very Happy and prosperous New Year.
Today we kick off 2025 with the start of the second half of the season as we welcome
Beddau to Emlyn Park. Beddau have been flying high in the Championship East Division
and are currently in 2nd place - having led for the majority of the season. Beddau provided
a harsh introduction to the Championship for Talywain in our first game of the season
when they beat us convincingly 45 - 7. It was a real eye opener for us and opened our
eyes to what is required to play against sides at this level. I believe and hope that the
result today will be very different as we have been performing really well since and
currently sit 7th in the league. The team has applied themselves fantastically to the step
up into the championship and are playing some really nice rugby.
I hope that you all enjoy today's game and look forward to seeing you all in the clubhouse
later for some refreshments, when I am sure our stewardess Tamara and her team will look
after you well. Please accept my apologies as the clubhouse is going through some major
refurbishment.
Also please can I ask that you all stay behind the barriers and respect the referee, these
guys are human and give up time so that we can all play and enjoy the game we love.
Best wishes,
Jeff Clutterbuck
Chairman
