Our rise is a phenomenal
achievement and testament to the
quality of our coaches and players.
Jeff Clutterbuck
Chairman, Talywain RFC
Hello everyone and welcome to Talywain for the 2024/25 season, our first in the Championship.
In last season's program, our coaches wrote about their plan and vision for the season and I am
extremely proud that our coaches and players achieved what they set out to do.
This season will see us competing at the highest
level of rugby our club has ever reached which is a
phenomenal achievement and testament to the
quality of our coaches and players. I am very excited
and looking forward to supporting our team again
this season, I have no doubt that everyone involved
with the team will be up for the challenge.
Our coaching team has set very high standards
which everyone involved has bought into and has
been key to our success. During the summer we
have been busy recruiting some quality players to
bolster the squad and I am thrilled to see the return
of Nick Blake and Geraint Evans who will complement
our existing coaching and medical teams and will
help take us to another level.
As a community club, we rely heavily on donations
from our sponsors, without their support we just
could not achieve what we have. Their continued
support is very much appreciated and I thank each
and every one of them from the bottom of my heart.
My thanks to my fellow committee members for
giving up their personal time and our grounds man
Matthew who works incredibly hard and goes well
above expectations. We have a fantastic Stewardess
in Louise who along with her team work very hard for
us and do a fantastic job. I wish to thank all of our
supporters and volunteers for their continued
support and long may it continue you all play a major
part within the club and its achievements.
My final thanks is to the committee and volunteers
behind our Mini and Junior section. In just a few
seasons you have grown and developed this section
into one of the best in the area, long may it
continue!
