The Crew Academy’s Yacht Owner’s Representative Program (YORP) is the fully-
accredited qualification designed to set a new industry standard for the role of an
Owner's Representative (OR).
Backed by SYBAss and accredited by IAMI & GUEST, the YORP has been developed to
provide a deep understanding and practical knowledge on the leadership, operational
and technical skills required for this role. It covers all the practical tools ORs need
to have in order to deliver a new build or refit: from project management and
compliance; to the finer details of yacht design and build; as well as financial, legal and
administrative knowledge.
The Crew Academy helped to build the YORP in 2023 and now delivers the
comprehensive four-part program (IAMI GUEST Units 40-43). The course is delivered
100% online via kelp. in collaboration with a mix of interactive masterclasses, self-study
and guest lectures in collaboration with more than 30 specialist contractors, shipyard
personnel and other industry experts.
