CROESO WELCOME
TODAY’S VISITORS CAMBRIAN WELFARE RFC
Hoffwn estyn croeso cynnes i bawb i Barc de Pugh a 'nôl yn y clybhows ar ôl y gêm. Diolch o galon i'n noddwyr a'r Is-Lywyddion am eu cefnogaeth hael a pharhaol eto eleni. Diolch hefyd i'r chwaraewyr, y teuluoedd, y dorf ffyddlon, yr hyfforddwwyr a'r Pwyllgor am eu gwaith caled drwy gydol y flwyddyn.
We wish to extend a warm welcome to the players, members, supporters and visiting supporters to Parc De Pugh today. I wish both sides the best of luck and hope that we all have an enjoyable afternoon in the best of company and a great game of competitive rugby. I would like to extend a welcome to you all to join us at the Club house after the game where I am sure Sharon, our stewardess, will ensure you are all well catered for.
After the enforced break last weekend as the Rugby community in Wales came together to show respect after the passing of Her Majesty the Queen today we return to playing and host Cambrian Welfare RFC in our first match in the WRU Division 1 Cup.
Matches between the two sides have been few and far between over the recent years to provide any real idea of the relative level of competition between the sides. Today is very much uncharted territory. They successfully opened their League campaign to weeks ago with a 5-0 victory over Rhiwbina RFC. A quick trawl through the statistics of the last few years shows that Cambrian have successfully held their own in League 1 East Central and have shown steady progress up the League year on year.
Prior to the game today in line with the WRU guidance we will be observing a two minutes silence. I ask that you join us in remembering Her Majesty the Queen and please respectfully acknowledge the silence.
Best wishes,
Paul Amphlett
Cadeirydd/Chairman.
