We would like to welcome today’s
visitors St Peters RFC to Emlyn Park.
Good afternoon everyone, I welcome you all to Emlyn park today as we take on
Cardiff side St Peters in the second round of the Championship Cup.
It has been quite a few seasons since we last locked horns with St Peters and from
memory it was an occasion where both teams were in a relegation battle and needed a
win to stay up with the losing side being relegated. Talywain did manage to get the win
that day down in Cardiff I hope today that we can pull off the same result.
I am sure St Peters will prove to be tough opposition and will be looking to progress
further in the cup, we all know Cup rugby is very different to the league and often league
positions can have no bearing on the outcome of these games.
Thank You all for continued support as usual, and I look forward to seeing you all in the
clubhouse later where our Stewardess Louise and her team will be providing some
refreshments.
Please ensure that you all respect the referee and stay behind the barriers.
Best wishes,
Jeff Clutterbuck
Chairman
