Through the daze of hangovers and disappointments of lost First XV matches, a thriving mini and junior section bodes well for a club and helps to build a strong foundation for future success. The section really helps generate and foster the sense of ‘community’ within clubs. In recent years, some clubs have even started to pool resources and players, setting aside rivalries and combining sides in age grade rugby which will surely become a more regular occurrence as the years go by - perhaps even when it comes to senior rugby.
