Diolch hefyd i'r chwaraewyr, y teuluoedd, y dorf ffyddlon, yr hyfforddwwyr a'r Pwyllgor am eu gwaith caled drwy gydol y flwyddyn.
We wish to extend a warm welcome to the players, members, supporters and visiting supporters to Parc De Pugh today. I wish both sides the best of luck and hope that we all have an enjoyable afternoon in the best of company and a great game of competitive rugby. I would like to extend a welcome to you all to join us at the Club house after the game where I am sure Sharon, our stewardess, will ensure you are all well catered for.
It has been a long time since our last home league match in what has turned out to be a highly frustrating season for coaching staff, players and supporters. Thank you all for your continued support and patience.
We come into this game today on the back of a narrow two point defeat to Treorchy in the semi-final of the plate last Saturday. Sadly, the dream of returning to the Principality Stadium to defend our Title came to an end at the final hurdle.
For those supporters who travelled over to Ebbw Vale I am sure you will agree with me that it was an outstanding game of rugby. The game was a credit to both sides as the teams gave their all in what turned out to be a thrilling and entertaining contest. So close was the match that the lead changed hands a total of six times and even when Treorchy took the lead for the final time and with just seconds on the clock. Thanks to Matthew, Wayne and all the players involved for their effort and doing the Club proud.
Best wishes,
Paul Amphlett
Cadeirydd/Chairman.
