   CROESO E WELCOM
TODAY’S VISITORS LLANGENNECH RFC
Hoffwn estyn croeso cynnes i bawb i Barc de Pugh a 'nôl yn y clybhows ar ôl y gêm. Diolch o galon i'n noddwyr a'r Is-Lywyddion am eu cefnogaeth hael a pharhaol eto eleni. Diolch hefyd i'r chwaraewyr, y teuluoedd, y dorf ffyddlon, yr hyfforddwwyr a'r Pwyllgor am eu gwaith caled drwy gydol y flwyddyn.
Today we welcome Llangennech RFC to Parc De Pugh. They will surely travel to Brecon full of confidence given their third position in the League and their 77-5 home victory against Crymych last weekend. Llangennech scored 11 tries in the game and all were converted. In contrast, to the try feast in Llangennech, our last fixture away at Dunvant we managed to secureahardfought13-16victoryagainstadeterminedhomeside. Thegamedidn’tprovide any of the free-flowing rugby that we have enjoyed in the first half of the season. It was a result based on excellent team spirit, determination and sheer effort that ground out the victory on an extremely cold afternoon. We will need to be at our very best for the encounter today if we have any ambition to end 2023 unbeaten.
The fixture away at Llangennech at the start of the season provided a thoroughly entertaining game with both sides playing an open and exciting brand of rugby. Recent results and the current second and third league positions would suggest that both teams have maintained their good starts in the Championship and another competitive close game is on the cards today.
I wish both sides the best of luck and hope that we all have an enjoyable afternoon in the best of company and a great game of competitive rugby. I would like to extend a welcome to you all to join us at the Club house after the game where I am sure Sharon, our stewardess, will ensure you are all well catered for.
Thanks to our match day sponsors today Wyn Davies and Friends and Sunnybarn Investments and guests for their generous support.
Finally, as this is our last home game of 2023, I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Best wishes,
Andy Lewis Cadeirydd/Chairman.
