However, growth will be needed in the following lower represented
sectors due to Freeports, Enterprise Zones and Net Zero:
• Electricity / Energy Supply,
• Information and Communication, / Digital
• Financial, Insurance
• Real state activities
• Water and Waste
In addition, growth will also be required in: Construction,
Manufacturing and Accommodation and Food services for the
future needs of the county.
• From 2016 to 2021, jobs increased by 3.7% in Neath Port Talbot
from 49,062 to 50,884. This change fell short of the national growth
rate of 4.1% by 0.4%.
• Circa 50,000 jobs 66% being full time
