CDM.
What does it stand for? What does it ‘do’?
Two key components of CDM:
(1) Pre construction phase
The principal designer (Anglian) is
responsible for planning, managing,
monitoring and coordinating health and
safety in the pre-construction phase of a
project.
(2) Health and Safety file
Anglian will compile a fully comprehensive
Health and Safety file that will be presented
to the customer upon completion of works.

(CDM) Regulations.

The aim of the Regulations is for health
& safety to be treated as a normal part
of a project’s development.

Since April 2015, CDM has been
extended to include structures such as
conservatories, orangeries and extensions
within the domestic market.

CDM applies to the whole construction
process on domestic construction projects
where that project has more than one
contractor on site.
