TODAY’S VISITORS CROSS KEYS
On behalf of Brecon RFC, I extend a warm welcome to the Players, Committee,
Members and Supporters of Cross Keys RFC.
At our first meeting this season at Pandy Park, earlier this season, we emerged
victorious by 47 points to 20. The game itself was much closer than the score
suggests, and we had to work hard for that win, our first in the Premiership.
As the season has progressed, both teams have had similar sets of results. Cross
Keys now stand in 5th place in the table with a total of 30 points while Brecon are
in 7th with 29 points. So, there is little to separate the two teams. With that as the
background, I am sure that everyone will be looking forward to a close and
exciting match. The scene is set for a great afternoon of rugby, with, hopefully,
the better team on the day making further progress in the league.
Regardless of the result, I, on behalf of Brecon RFC, wish both teams success over
the remainder of the season. We also hope that our visitors are recovering from
the disastrous pre-Christmas flooding of Pandy Park and The Keys’ Clubhouse.
I am sure that we will provide a warm welcome, both at our Parc de Pugh Ground,
where we can enjoy our new Match Day Bar, and back at the Club House, where
I know that Sharon, our stewardess, and her great team, will ensure that we are all
well catered for.
