Our approach.
At The Crew Hunter, we pride ourselves on building a team of recruiters
with years of professional experience in the roles they are looking to fill.
Therefore, we understand the industry, its complexity and its challenges, in a way that others without this
experience simply can’t. Since 2013, we have worked with owners, management partners and senior crew,
going above and beyond to fulfil their recruitment wishes.
Whether you’re looking for the right crew or searching for your next role, our team of specialists, get in touch
with our team today.
How to advertise your role.
Once you have a clear job description and understand the ideal candidate
(your person specification), it's time to decide how to get your role in front
of the right people. The approach you choose will depend on budget,
urgency and specialisation.
1. Utilising the Services of a Recruitment Agency
Working with a recruitment agency gives you access to a large pool of pre-vetted candidates and industry
expertise, especially important when recruiting senior or specialist crew. The entire process is handled by the
recruitment agency – from advertising, screening, and interviewing, to reference checks – saving you time
and freeing you to focus on other priorities.
2. Self-Managing
When the yacht budget won’t allow for working with an agency, roles can be advertised online or through
social media. While this can potentially be more cost-effective, it is also more time consuming and may require
paid advertising to boost the role to a broader audience, with less access to experienced or specialised crew.
3. Word of Mouth
If your yacht has a strong culture, you may be able to attract high-quality referrals by tapping into existing
networks. However, this approach has limited reach and may take longer to find the right fit.
