   Town of Festivals
Hailed the ‘Town of Festivals’ where else would you find events celebrating town criers, motorsport, jazz and scarecrows. Highlights include Nozstock a boutique festival billed as the Glastonbury of Herefordshire. Back for 2020 Bromyard Speed Festival, this year relocated to Shelsley Walsh, celebrates motoring history alongside the hill climb. Bromyard Gala is a country life showcase of vintage and classic cars, steam engines, crafts and food, running since 1967.
Raising the bar
Just outside Bromyard at Stoke Bliss you’ll find Pensons, the exciting new restaurant that has just won its first Michelin Star.
Stay at The Hyde or The Freeth on the Netherwood Estate, or check out
the newly converted barn at Durstone Cottages in nearby Pencombe.
Up on the Downs
Rising to over 700 feet, the Bromyard Downs form an impressive backdrop to the market town. With spectacular views, they are a peaceful haven with a diverse range of wildlife. Bringsty Common with its lakes, streams and valleys, thick with bluebells in the spring, is a much loved location. Both are AONBs covering 500 acres and are perfect for walking and horse-riding.
