MATTERS AS THEY EMERGE...
Very sadly, we notify those who are unaware that the Club’s Patron – and more importantly a great friend and supporter of our Club – John Morgans, passed away on 10 August.
As virus-based restrictions ease we have been able to get back to distanced fitness training and just recently to touch rugby. Our gym will re-open on 7 September but only for players, coaches and Vice Presidents for the time being, provided those players using the facility have paid the full subscription due on 1 September. Quite when we can expect a return to competitive rugby remains unclear. It is almost certainly not going to be before 1 November and, to be fair to the WRU, the difficulties that our game presents in terms of offering players

John was a regular on the touchline at The Brian Jones Memorial Field and had a great feel for the game. His contribution to the post-match debate was always constructive and invariably delivered with warmth and humour.
We hadn’t seen as much of John as we would have liked due to his ill health but it was a rude awakening for us all to hear that we had lost a man who has been advisor, supporter and friend.
Our thoughts are with Pam and the family now and will be for many years to come.

Building upon the hard work that Dominic Hayes and his team put in during lockdown when they supplied hundreds of takeaway meals, Dom has now employed a chef and extended his menu and offers food six days a week (excluding Mondays but including Sunday lunches which are delicious) and we have the bar open from 12.00 every day, complete with distanced seating and other measures to reduce risk to customers.
