About the course
The Crew Academy’s GUEST-accredited Basic Housekeeping &
Laundry program teaches the practices and techniques to
maintain impeccable standards of cleanliness throughout the
yacht interior.
Learn the standards and practices required to maintain a clean
and visually appealing environment for guests. This includes how
to clean and detail guest cabins, heads, and common areas
and how to properly maintain and care for fabrics, surfaces and
finishings found on a luxury yacht.
Gain an understanding of how to carry out laundry duties
effectively including the correct techniques for washing, drying,
and pressing different types of fabric, as well as how to correctly
hang, store, and place guest garments and personal items,
ensuring that they are kept wrinkle-free and in pristine condition.
We will also delve into how to handle guest personal items in a
respectful and discreet manner, ensuring that privacy is always
maintained.
