About the course
Whether you’re looking to progress into the role or you already
occupy the Purser position and would like to formalise your
existing experience, the Purser program is for you.
The Crew Academy’s Purser program is the industry’s first fully-
accredited program and over the past 16 years we have seen over
1,000 graduates successfully pass through this program.
It provides students with an understanding of a vast range of
practical skills that may be required within the role on board,
including operations, destinations management, VAT, HR and
more.
The program is delivered through our Knowledge Enhancement
& Learning Platform (kelp.), giving students the opportunity to
study the intensive 2-week program from any location in the
world.
Course Format
Our Purser program is delivered in 3 different learning options:
residential, live-out, and online. Intakes for all of the residential
and online courses are limited to ensure the very best level of
teaching for each and every student.
The intensive program is structured as follows:
• Held over 2 weeks (10 days) online via Zoom / in-person
• 6 hours of daily lectures, Monday-Friday, 9am to 6pm
• 3 hours of self-study per day through the kelp. platform
• 3 assessments to complete

Existing or aspiring HODs
Where?
Online Students learn via Zoom.
In-person students learn at our
training facilities in Mallorca.
When?
Lessons are held Monday to
Friday over two weeks, and
students have up to 12 months
to complete their self-study
coursework.
Requirements
To participate in the Purser
course you need to meet the
following requirements:
• MUST possess professional
working-level English skills.
• A good working
knowledge of computers
and mathematical
calculations.
• To be at least 25 years old,
younger applicants must
meet specific entry
requirements.
