FEATURED TOWNS ABERDYFI & TYWYN
Aberdyfi is a thriving harbour town, where the River Dyfi meets the blue waters of Cardigan Bay. Aberdyfi has watersports galore - sailing, windsurfing, rowing, canoeing, fishing and boat trips, along with family entertainment on its award-winning beaches. The Cardigan Bay Coastline is known across the world for its vast beauty and Tywyn - where the mountains meet the sea, is no exception.
DOLGELLAU
This former slate town in the shadow of Cadair Idris has more listed buildings than any other town in Wales - more than 200 of them. Some of the most elegant date back to Dolgellau's time as a regional centre for the Welsh woollen industry. It’s a fabulous place to explore Snowdonia. The flat Mawddach Trail follows the old railway bed to the coastal town of Barmouth.
PORTMEIRION & HARLECH
Portmeirion, technically a village, was created by Welsh architect Sir Clough Williams-Ellis from 1925 to 1976, to show how a naturally beautiful site could be developed without spoiling it. No visit to Harlech is complete without a visit to the famous castle which crowns the rocky crag overlooking a four-mile stretch of pristine golden sand.
