In recent seasons Llandovery RFC 1st XV has established itself to be one of the strongest teams in the Welsh
club game - consistently challenging for the league title and winning the National Cup competition three times
in recent years. The 2023/24 season was one of the most successful in our history as we won the league and
cup double to secure our place in Welsh rugby history.
We pride ourselves on achieving our success whilst playing an attractive brand of winning rugby
that is always entertaining to watch. Our televised games have showcased our philosophy to rugby
fans across Wales, with TV pundits glowing in their praise for our free running exciting brand of
rugby. As well as being one of the top club sides in Wales, we pride ourselves on developing players
who go to play at the highest level including Wales and the British and Irish Lions. We do all this
whilst maintaining our place as a community club serving the needs of our local communities.
