• The structure of the regulating bodies
• The background and use of the STCW Convention
with new amendments
• Managing crew certificates, endorsements and renewals
• Crew and guest profiles using IDEA
• Signing crew on and off, including pre-employment procedures
• The content of the crew contract and POEA approved contracts
• Types of crew medical insurance and how to manage and file claims
• Managing salaries, holidays and flight allowances
• Types of visas and interpretation of the requirements to obtain a full visitor’s visa
• Crew training & certification:
STCW, MCA, PADI, RYA PWC, G.U.E.S.T
