Working in hospitality is the best decision I ever made because I can learn lots of new skills and I’ve been able to do a qualification whilst I’m gaining experience, so I’m hoping to work my way up once I’ve got more experience. I get to make customers happy if I do a good job, it’s nice to see people enjoying their holiday and getting good feedback. The team make the job really fun and we get to do social things together, so I really enjoy coming to work. There are really good staff benefits like using the Blue Lagoon with my friends.

Since joining the Celtic Manor at the age of 16 and given the opportunity to sign up to my Level 2 in Hospitality services. Working within the hospitality sector has developed my interpersonal; skills with internal and external guests. I have gained knowledge, new skills, built confidence which has lent me to participate in Young Chef Young Waiter 2022 and also the Welsh International Culinary Championship competition at the end of February in Llandudno.
