   CROESO WELCOME
TODAY’S VISITORS PONTYPOOL UNITED RFC
Hoffwn estyn croeso cynnes i bawb i Barc de Pugh a 'nôl yn y clybhows ar ôl y gêm. Diolch o galon i'n noddwyr a'r Is-Lywyddion am eu cefnogaeth hael a pharhaol eto eleni. Diolch hefyd i'r chwaraewyr, y teuluoedd, y dorf ffyddlon, yr hyfforddwwyr a'r Pwyllgor am eu gwaith caled drwy gydol y flwyddyn.
We wish to extend a warm welcome to the players, members, supporters and visiting supporters to Parc De Pugh today. I wish both sides the best of luck and hope that we all have an enjoyable afternoon in the best of company and a great game of competitive rugby. I would like to extend a welcome to you all to join us at the Club house after the game where I am sure Sharon, our stewardess, will ensure you are all well catered for.
After a full pre-season programme for the players last weekend saw our final warm up match in Brecon as we welcomed Championship side Bedwas to a parched and rock hard, Parc de Pugh. The new coaching team showed faith in their squad of players that have been used during the three pre-season games and that confidence was fully justified as Brecon almost pulled off a notable victory, ultimately losing by just two points in a match in which both sides scored five tries.
What has been obvious from watching our pre-season matches and will have encouraged the coaching team was the development that the squad has shown as it progressed through the three pre-season matches in preparation for the season ahead.
Today we host Pontypool United in our first League match of the season. Matches against our opponents have always been close and competitive and we expect today’s encounter to be no different.
I would like to thank all our Sponsors, members and Vice Presidents for their support.
Best wishes,
Paul Amphlett
Cadeirydd/Chairman.
