What is the
Swansea Bay City Deal?
The Swansea Bay City Deal is an investment of up to £1.3 billion in a range of major programmes and projects across the Swansea Bay City Region – which is made up of Carmarthenshire, Neath Port Talbot, Pembrokeshire and Swansea.
These Programmes and projects include: Swansea City and Waterfront Digital District, Canolfan S4C Yr Egin, Homes as Power Stations, Pembroke Dock Marine, Campuses, Pentre Awel, Supporting Innovation and Low Carbon Growth, and the Digital Infrastructure Programme.
In the 15-year life span of the City Deal this investment will boost the regional economy by at least £1.8 billion, while generating more than 9,000 jobs.
This is an exciting time for the region, and young people with the right skills will be very much in demand.
