Being from Brecon, these boys are use to being associated to the Beacons and
are more than comfortable with there surroundings. Unfortunately, this community
Premiership is more like Everest a mountain that only special people can defeat.
With that in mind, I believe we have the right people and the right synergy to
conquer this major challenge.
With new signings such as Chris Phillips (Merthyr/Pontypridd), Geraint Clarke
(Sengenydd), Callum Bradbury (Merthyr/Cardiff), Rhodri Jenkins (Brecon/Nottingham
University), Ben Siers (Merthyr/Bedwas), Joe Griffiths (Ynysybwl), James Roberts
(Brecon/Cardiff University), Lewis Jones (Cardiff Blues/Dragons), James Dixon
(Neath/Bedwas/Pontypridd), Jack Dixon (Dragons) and Chad Davies (Glamorgan
Wanderers). Combined with the experience of the likes of Lewis Smout, Aneirun
James, Sam May, Andy Nicol, Dion Mcintosh, Kristian Dacey, Ioan Edwards, Alwyn
Lee, Jake Newman, Ollie Lewis, Sam Jones and Geraint Walsh and sprinkled with
the youth and excitement of players such as Iwan Dowling, Mathew Williams, Ben
Pritchard, Logan Mcintosh, Geraint Workman, Tom Richards, Thomas Davies and
Ryan Davies we have worked tirelessly in pre-season to compete with formidable
clubs with a stern message - we are not here just to make up the numbers.
It goes without saying I’d like to wish those who have departed the club and thank
them from the bottom of my heart for again there commitment and friendship.
Those retiring please don’t be strangers and to those moving on to pastures green
keep enjoying - with a special mention to Jake Crockett 200 games for the club,
enjoy your retirement mate? And Osian Davies who will be emigrating to New
Zealand - Arohanui e hoa (Love you my friend).
Finally with excitement all-round and the town buzzing I welcome you ALL on this
journey. As we can’t do it alone. In the unassuming words of the iconic Mohamed
Ali “ME, WE”! So buckle up your seat belts and full steam ahead. The Brecon
express is on its way!!!!
Ka kite ano (see you again). Chief.
