   CROESO E WELCOM
TODAY’S VISITORS
MAESTEG HARLEQUINS RFC
Hoffwn estyn croeso cynnes i bawb i Barc de Pugh a 'nôl yn y clybhows ar ôl y gêm. Diolch o galon i'n noddwyr a'r Is-Lywyddion am eu cefnogaeth hael a pharhaol eto eleni. Diolch hefyd i'r chwaraewyr, y teuluoedd, y dorf ffyddlon, yr hyfforddwwyr a'r Pwyllgor am eu gwaith caled drwy gydol y flwyddyn.
We wish to extend a warm welcome to the visiting Committee, players, members and supporters from Maesteg Harlequins and St Peters Rugby Clubs to Parc De Pugh.
It is another difficult day for the club, and the town, as we mourn the recent sudden loss of Norman Williams. Norm was a stalwart of Brecon RFC for a number of decades, including stints as player, captain, Chair for a number of years and, more recently, one of the bedrock volunteers who was often to be found at Parc de Pugh, on his beloved tractor, ensuring that the facilities and playing surface were up their to normal immaculate standard. All done with that familiar smile, and a cheerful word for all!
Our best wishes, and deepest sympathies, go to Paul, Ryan, Ioan, and the wider family at this very sad time.
We will all miss Norm enormously, and we hope you will all join us for a minute’s silence prior to the game, to remember a true Club Man, and also back in the clubhouse after to raise a glass to the fond memories of a true gentleman.
We welcome Maesteg Quins on their first visit, we believe, to our home ground, and we trust that all will enjoy their journey up from the Llynfi Valley today.
Our own form in 2024 had dipped but saw an upturn with a hard earned victory against a strong Ammanford team in our last fixture. Whilst the spoils were only earned in the latter stages of that match, the commitment shown, and that of the wider squad in training in recent weeks, sets the Senior Group up well for what will be a challenging run-in to the end of the season.
We wish both sides the best of luck and hope that we all have an enjoyable afternoon in the best of company and a great game of competitive rugby.
I would like to extend a welcome to you all to join us at the Club house after the game where I am sure Sharon, our stewardess, and her great team, will ensure you are all well catered for.
Best wishes,
Rich Morris Chairman
