A new season of challenges in uncharted territories...
We are grateful for the Membership in providing this opportunity for us, following the recent well attended AGM, and we are conscious of the fact that the Club finds itself in a position of having enjoyed successes, both on and off the pitch, in recent years.
To some extent, these opportunities have arisen through the retirement of our recent Chair,
Paul Amphlett. Paul has been integral to the success enjoyed by the club through his strong leadership and promotion of the Minis and Junior sections, and also in helping steer the club on its journey through the WRU League Structure. We are indebted to him.
Following the AGM, one of the more fundamental decisions made was in relation to how the club structures itself, and the operating model it chooses to use as it builds on those successes. The rationale behind that reflected the position that the Club finds itself in the League Structure, with the need to provide an opportunity for continued improvement and development for our Playing Members, and the need to position
ourselves, in a commercial sense, such that we can continue to operate in an increasingly challenging market for our off field activities, and in a way that doesn't dilute the current positive experiences that users of the Clubhouse enjoy.
Nevertheless, our core function remains our commitment to providing the chance for playing members, regardless of gender, age, or ability, to strive to be the best they can in their chosen sport. We remain immensely proud of the bur- geoning growth of playing numbers from our Under 7's through to the Senior playing squad.
