Meetup.com, one of over a thousand conversation clubs around the world, boasts over 150 million members in 120 countries. People get together to perfect their conversation skills. Pubs in the UK have started Pub-talk groups as a way of attracting customers. The Wall Street Journal reported that more than 90 percent of people get new jobs through word of mouth. When you connect with the world, you're opening the door to a ton of awesome stuff.
Connect and Make New Friends
Without friends, life wouldn’t be the same. We wouldn’t be who we are if not for them. It sounds obvious, but you have to get out and meet people before you can make friends with them. You’re not going to make friends with every stranger you meet, but the more activities you participate in, the more places you visit, the more strangers you connect with, the sooner you’ll make new friends and acquaintances. A connected community provides its members with strength and safety.
