“Nicky Boothman go and stand in the corridor I’ve told you not to do that.”
On one particular occasion, the teacher was trying to explain what the hypotenuse was in Pythagoras theorem. Everyone was looking confused and I just said it's like a ladder leaning against a wall.
My Statement: I make complicated concepts sound simple and interesting. Today I get paid for doing the things I got punished for at school.
I have always been passionate about human potential. That’s why I am moved to write this book. I spent the first 25 years of my working life as a fashion and advertising photographer with studios on three continents and as a father of five children. During this time I met so many people with tremendous potential but with very few life skills. They were like roses with rubber bands wrapped around them limiting their growth, imagination and wonder - and they'd never blossom until someone took off that rubber band and let their lives take flight. I made up my mind to be that person.
I conjured-up a speech and went into schools showing kids how to ace interviews and get jobs. From there my simple message grew fast and today I speak to audiences all over the world and my books have been translated into more than 30 languages.
