  Executive Director’s Desk (continued)
ion, these roles provide a reason to stay engaged with the world and motivated to live healthily. People with a strong sense of pur- pose are more likely to lead healthy lifestyles, pursue long-term goals, and experience greater satisfaction in life. Feeling needed and valued within relationships fuels this sense of purpose, con- tributing to both mental and physical well-being.
While modern life often emphasizes independence and self- sufficiency, the importance of social bonds and human connec- tion cannot be overstated. Building and nurturing strong rela- tionships can provide profound benefits for both mind and body.
Simply put, people need people.
As the end of the year approaches, I would like to express my gratitude to all members for their continued support of the HCMA and undeniable commitment to their patients and the profession of medicine.
May 2025 allow you to find peace in quiet moments and strength in challenges. Above all, I hope the new year brings you and your loved ones 365 days full of love, laughter, and many blessings.
