 BECOME INVOLVED
CHOOSE A WAY THAT IS RIGHT FOR YOU!
Attend an Executive Council Meeting
The HCMA Executive Council is the governing board of the Association. The meetings are held quarterly, virtually or in person, and are open to all HCMA members. Call the HCMA office for meeting
  dates and times.
Become an HCMA Delegate to the FMA
A delegation of over 30 members represents the HCMA at the FMA’s Annual Meeting to debate and vote on policy and State and National legislative matters. The HCMA is part of the Lower West Coast Caucus (LWCC) which represents seven county medical societies. Resolutions from around the state are discussed by the LWCC prior to deliberations at the FMA House of Delegates.
Attend a Membership Dinner or Social Event
The HCMA holds membership dinners and gatherings throughout the year at no cost to members. These events offer an excellent opportunity to network, socialize with colleagues, and meet HCMA partners.
 Membership Recruitment
An HCMA Affiliate membership category was created for physicians in Hillsborough’s surrounding counties and provides the same plentiful benefits received by those in the Active membership category. Talk with your non-member colleagues about the benefits of joining. After three viable referrals, your HCMA membership dues will be waived for the following year!
 Legislative Advocacy
The efforts of the HCMA government Affairs Committee (GAC) have empowered embers in the legislative arena, maintaining beneficial relationships with the Hillsborough County Legislative Delegation. Join the GAC and participate both locally and in Tallahassee during the annual Sessions.
  Join our Editorial Board
The HCMA’s quarterly publication, The Bulletin, is the voice of our members. Submit an editorial, travel journal, photo diary, or relay an experience you believe would interest your colleagues. We encourage members to submit articles and photographs at any time, even if they do not serve on the Editorial Board.
