The 40th anniversary of Eminent Air (Thailand) Co., Ltd, the manufacturer and distributor of “Eminent” air-conditioners, is a perfect occasion to know some interesting aspects of this Thai-made brand and the steps undertaken by Eminent as it approaches its 5th decade in business. The following is a statement from Ms. Janyaporn Soonthonvasu, Chief Executive Officer of Eminent Air (Thailand) who shares the company’s goals with us.
• Looking ahead, what is the vision & mission
of “Eminent”?
First of all, Eminent is determined to be the #1 Thai brand through maintaining high quality standards, product variety and completion in order to give customers more options.
Also, we are focussed on being a learning organization through standardized development of skilled air conditioning technicians. To this end, we signed a MoU with the Ministry of Labor’s Department of Skill Development. This curriculum offers both classroom lecture and 30 hours training to Thai installers. Previously, we designed a training curriculum that benefitted tens of thousands of technicians.
• Can you share with us Eminent’s organizational
strategy towards 2020?
Our goal is Total Air Solution strategy. We’ll have solutions for customers and project clients looking for solutions on air conditioning and air flow needs by taking advantage of our existing product expertise as well as our team of experienced and well-trained engineers & technicians who can deliver standard solutions i.e. air conditioner sizing & selection and product quality.
Further to that, we have a business alliance with a Japanese company to market air purifiers, so we can determine the purity level of air in a specific area by gauging carbon dioxide content. This has strengthened our holistic knowledge and expertise about air.

In the meantime, we apply the 3P (Product, People and Planet) with the 2020 strategy. For Product, we believe that the year 2020 will see greater technology application such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT) to meet demands. We’ve been testing high technologies and looking at new products to meet emerging demands as Thailand goes into the 4.0 era. We’re about to introduce an IoT-based operating system that will allow Eminent air conditioners to connect with electronic devices as well as mobile phones.
On People, we focus on improving skill to staff and air installers as mentioned above. We pay attention to Planet and environment conservation. Last year, we switched to R32 refrigerant and we are among a selected few companies which signed a MoU with the World Bank to reduce, refrain and stop using R22 refrigerant so as not to destroy the ozone layer.
Vision, mission and strategy that Eminent Air (Thailand) Co., Ltd. adheres to as we strive to provide practical solutions to consumers to add to their convenience and happiness.
