Plant Controls and Management Section
The Excise Department regulates and taxes ethanol products and liquor, where control and taxation system, compatible with an international standardized system, are in strict compliance with the principles and regulations set forth by the Excise Department. The measurement of the amount of products is performed thanks to the meter, automatic tank gauging, containers, liquor storage tanks at the distillery plant, as well as reviewing the floor plan. For the purpose of tax calculation, it is essential to conduct audits of the tools and equipment used for tax controls and collection.

Plant Controls and Management Section, Technical Development and Audit Group is responsible for conducting audits of a variety of tools, such as an automatic tank gauging, flow meter, floor plan, liquor volume meter, ethanol storage container capacity, liquor containers and storage tanks. In considering the installation of these tools, including auditing results, an audit report must be submitted to the Tax Collection Standards and Development 1 Bureau to consider and approve the licensee to install and use such measuring instruments, details are as follows:
