Many students suffered from ocular issues, due to prolonged screen time.
As technology was not accessible by many students, especially by people from low income backgrounds, attendance drastically decreased in government schools.
A larger impact was faced by students who had planned to study abroad, or relied on national entrance tests for their further education.
As a relief, governments world over eased restrictions in July and August 2021, causing students to return to physical school, creating a gateway between offline and online education.
