Autumn 2020

What an incredible Summer it’s been with all the weather
extremes and catastrophes including the coronavirus. However,
we are grateful that we are safe and doing well. It’s been busy Australia Day celebrations
         here at Lansdowne Gardens.

As discussed at the last Resident & Relatives meeting we are
excited about our information seminar with Cheryl Lasarow,
Clinical Social Worker, speaking about Mental Wellbeing in Aged
Care. At the beginning of Autumn we have focus groups so we
can plan menus and activities together. Earlier this year we
welcomed Shan our new Clinical Care Manager and Madhu who
is our Leisure & Lifestyle coordinator and we have employed new
Registered Nurses as well as care staff.

Sadly we have said goodbye to Reena, Pratima and Bhawana who
have been with us for a while. In recognition of our staff we Pam with our visiting ballroom dancer
award a staff member a Standing Ovation Award each month.
Sargon, our Property Services Manager received our January
Award. He is always there to make sure all the building and
equipment at Lansdowne Gardens runs well and he is our Mr
Fixit with no complaints. In February, Bindiya won the award.
Bindiya is an amazing care staff member who goes over and
above to look after our residents and nothing is ever too much to
         ask of her.

I am proud of the staff, resident and families here, it’s an honour
to serve you all. High Tea outing

         With warm wishes,

         Annastacia Wainaina
