Adapun dua candi perwara yang
tinggal sisa-sisa fondasinya dianggap sebagai
makam Yang Kerto dan Yang Kerti abdi Pu
Sindok oleh penduduk. Pembangunan Candi
Lor bahkan dianggap sebagai cikal bakal
Kabupaten Nganjuk sehingga dijadikan
sebagai dasar penetapan hari jadinya yaitu
tanggal 10 April 937 M. Kedua hal itu
memberikan gambaran adanya nilai penting
yang menghubungkan Candi Lor dengan
masyarakat sekitarnya. (cha)
