Day 4: Santorini
Day at leisure in Santorini. Overnight. [B]
Here are some suggestions: Start your day by descending the 500 steps that separate the city center and the harbor, just avoid the donkeys, and their many (too many!) gifts regularly arranged along the 4,265 feet staircase.
The volcano is a must in the archipelago! Several companies offer an excursion, with hiking, breathtaking views of Fira and swimming in warm waters. In the winter, when the number of tourists in Santorini is less, only one daily
rotation is provided on the "basic" circuit. This is one of the other advantages of winter, you find yourself almost alone on the island. The boat leaves at 11am and count €20 person for a 3-hour of tour, the tickets can be bought on the main street or directly on the boat. After eating, walk to Fira’s cathedral, built in the style of the island's buildings and, then leave for Oia. The road is beautiful, overlooking the fields and natural areas of Santorini. Oia is a small village where you can find many blue and white houses and churches. The streets are very clean and you can even find mills on the reliefs. Feel free to lose yourself, anyway, almost all the streets join the main artery of Oia, which is pedestrian.
Day 5: Santorini, Athens
After breakfast at the hotel be ready for your transfer to Santorini’s port for the ferry back to Athens. Upon arrival transfer to hotel. Overnight. [B]
Day 6: Athens, USA
Enjoy your breakfast and, maybe some time f ree depending on your flight schedule. At the appointed time you will be transferred to Athens airport to board your flight back home. [B]
